The Edgar-Fenwood trailhead is located in the gravel parking area immediately south of the BP R-Store gas station at 403 S. 3rd Ave. in Edgar, WI. This trail is an abandoned railroad grade trail that is 9.75 miles long, passing through Edgar and Fenwood and south where the trail ends just north of the Big Eau Pleine River. This trail does NOT go into Stratford. It is closed when posted closed due to wet conditions or trail damage; and after the first snow until the trail has been groomed by the local snowmobile club or if weather permits winter ATV use.
This is our designated ATV unit, which is located 4 miles west of the City of Mosinee. There are roughly 11 miles of ATV trails in this 1,480 acre forest unit. Parking is located on the south end, off of Hwy. 153 and on the north end off of Burma Road. The ATV/UTV trails in the Burma Forest Unit are closed during October and November for fall hunting seasons and mid-March through April during the wet, spring thaw conditions to avoid damage to forest roads and trails.
